Originally from the west of France, the Poitou donkey is a very old breed of donkey. It is easily recognized by its large size and relatively long coat for an equine. It has long been prized for mullet production. Today, for lack of outlets, the species is in decline. Papo's figurines are hand-painted and made from durable synthetic plastic.
