Native of the steppes of Central Asia, the Bactrian camel, also called camel with two bumps, belongs to the family Camelidae. Unlike the Dromedary camel, this camel is equipped with two dorsal bumps and a fur more abundant. It is able to adapt to the most extreme climatic conditions: hot and dry summer and harsh and snowy winters, but also to live relatively long without water.
