With a wingspan of up to 9 feet and weighing 24 pounds, the vulture is one of the largest raptors in France! Its long wings cut in the shape of fingers at the ends, give it a great look in full flight. It is recognized by the color of its plumage which can go from brown to cream, its long neck, and its small head covered with a fine white down. The Vulture's diet plays an important ecological role and prevents the transmission of diseases.
