The Warthog is a mammal of the family Suidae that lives in the savannahs of Africa. Herbivorous and sometimes omnivorous when the opportunity arises, it feeds mainly on grasses, berries, bark and roots and can weigh up to 220 pounds. It is recognized by its elongated rectangular head, its impressive tusks that can reach 24 inches in adults, and its mane that extends over the entire length of the spine.
